OUR INAUGURAL PRODUCTION
FOLLOW DE DRUM is an African-Caribbean Musical Dramedy with many intriguing and flavorful characters - an inspirational and heartfelt story about two young men, whose shared childhood suffering creates a bond between them, above and beyond blood ties. A bond eventually tested by time, distance, differing politics and opportunities; then broken by fear-fueled misplaced loyalty and spilled blood.
‘Follow De Drum’ winds, bends and interlocks like the roots of a strong and magnificent tree. It is full of many branches, yet one common trunk, bearing the sweet and succulent fruit of worldly wisdom. Wisdom attained via a story about the tribulations and triumphs experienced living in the real Jamaica, juxtaposed with the scenes of magical and magnificent paradise that obsess its tourists."
